What’s so special about the Kor One Hydration Vessel that it caught my attention? It’s just a plastic water bottle – a simple everyday object – anyway. It’s BPA-free, but so are most water bottles these days. So what’s so special about it? Well, for me, it’s design is what caught my attention. It’s sleek, it’s clear and it looks heavy-duty in the photo.

Cardboard smartphone projector

A few years ago, I attended a film photography class where we made our own pinhole camera out of cardboard and duct tape. I wasn’t able to develop the photos I took (wasn’t able to consume the whole roll of film) but I enjoyed the process of DIY-ing my camera. It feels rewarding to be able to create something functional out of a simple material. So when I stumbled upon this smartphone projector on the internet, I thought it was interesting because it, too, is made of cardboard.

Pilot Bottle to Pen (B2P) gel pens

Ever wonder what happens to those plastic water bottles after they have been used? Some people recycle them by either refilling them again with drinking water, using them as a flower vase or plant holder, cutting them out for some crafty project etc. What Pilot did was that they turned them into retractable gel roller pens … because that’s what they’re good at.
